The Belsteads School is an independent special school in Little Waltham for pupils aged 10–16 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Through personalised education and a nurturing environment, we help every child build confidence and achieve their potential.
I’m delighted to be the Head Teacher of ‘The Best School in the Universe’. We have a team of highly dedicated and passionate support staff who, every day, strive to make school as enjoyable and rewarding as it can be. I welcome visits from prospective parents to our wonderful school and can truly say that working with the amazing young people we have here is a privilege.
At The Belsteads School, we understand that many of our pupils have faced challenges in education and may have lost confidence in learning. Our dedicated team works closely with each child to rebuild that confidence, develop positive relationships and help them re-engage with school in a supportive and nurturing environment. With small class sizes and high staff-to-pupil ratios, every pupil receives the individual attention and encouragement they need to thrive. Learning is tailored to each child’s abilities, allowing them to experience success, build self-belief and make meaningful progress at their own pace. Our aim is to help every young person develop the skills, resilience and confidence they need to achieve their potential, both in school and in everyday life.
